The North River Minor Hockey Girls Novice A Stanley Cupcakes Are Eying Up the Grand Prize
From sportsmanship to skills to fun, these 14 girls have learned icing isn't just for cupcakes

For the first time in Island hockey history there are finally enough novice girls participating to make up four teams. One team having a year to remember, both on and off the ice, is the North River Minor Hockey Stanley Cupcakes. You may remember The Stanley Cupcakes as one of ten PEI teams who participated in the Rogers Cheer like Never Before contest. The Stanley Cupcakes came out on top and are representing Prince Edward Island in this national competition. They are looking for the help of Islanders to vote for their team cheer, so they can enjoy the ultimate hockey experience that includes: a VIP trip to an NHL® game, a meet and greet with players and alumni, and a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform their cheer live in an NHL® dressing room. What an opportunity for these Westwood Primary Grade 2 and Grade 3 girls!

Voting is easy; visit www.hometownhockey.com everyday from March 29, to April 4, select The Stanley Cupcakes video and follow the instructions to submit your vote. Voters may submit one (1) vote, every 24 hours, for the Cupcakes video during the contest period. The Stanley Cupcakes are hoping, with YOUR help, for the chance to make the Island proud!

Cupcake Fundraising Committee

• Just a reminder to have the girls in their black jerseys and socks for practice this Thursday as we will be having a team photo done for the Sweetheart Tournament program.
• We are registered in the Pownal Jamboree for Dec.30....times to follow. As well as the Sweetheart in February,Please remember that all practice times and games are on our website.
• Practice on Thursday and home game on Sunday November 30. Margaret will be doing the 50/50 draw.

Margaret Bond will sell the 50/50 tickets at the game next Sunday, November 30.  Each parent can take a turn in order based on their child's player number or can request a trade.  We can post who is next each week.  Thanks for getting this started Margaret.
