Our game vs Alberton Nov 20th will be re-scheduled as we will be playing a game in the Early Bird Tournament Thursday, Nov. 20th 8:45 at Cody Banks.

Our first game of the season has been reschedule.

Ice at Three Rivers Sportsplex, Georgetown will not be ready on Nov 2nd.

Hello Everyone just a few things as we try to get the hockey season started. We do have practice Monday night at 8:40. I would like the players there by 7:30 for a team meating to go over the team rules and what the coaches expect from them. I do have 3 exibition games lined up as of now for the next two weeks as the regular season will not start till the first of November.

I have asked Andrew MacDonald last night to be the manage of the team this year and he has agreed to tackle the job. We will try to get together this week to map out the season and right now I will say that we will have a parents meeting Thursday night at 6:30 before the game. If somthing changes I will let you know via the web site.

If you click on the calender tab all the practices and games are there for the next couple of weeks. We will be updating it as we go along for now and when we get the league schedule we will get it on the calender and try to stick to it as I know many of the boys work .

If everyone could e-mail me back that they have seen this it would be great. My contact info is under the staff tab.

Hello Folks, there are a few house keeping things to look after .  Anyone who has not paid for conditioning camps and tryouts can you please get the money to Terry or my self. Terry can you please e-mail me a copy of those Who owe money. Last night there was no money collected as there was a bit of confusion at the rink with the ambulance being there for the injured player on the ice time before us. All those (even those who sat out .need to pat $8 which covers the last tryout. Please get that to Terry or Myself.

I want to thank all the boys for coming out and working hard in tryouts. I have asked all that do not make the team to sign AP cards as I know I will need players from time to time throughout the year. For those on the team please keep an eye on the web site for the next couple of days for upcoming events. Hope everyone has a great hockey season.

Hello everyone My Name is David Lank and I will be the coach of the Midget AA team this year. The rest of the coachs are listed under the team staff tab. Here are the details on tryouts and how we are going to proceed over the next week.

Terry Soleman will be collecting the money for tryouts as he has been for conditioning camps. Terry is the midget cordinator and I would like to thank him for doing this job for the second year in midget it is very time consuming this time of year with getting everything started as he will be involved heavely till the midget A teams are picked.

$16 for the first two tryouts

$8 for the last tryout

Sunday 7:20 tryout 1 practice A-M

Sunday 8:30 tryout 1 practice M-Z

Monday 8:40 tryout 2 inter squad game ( may be cuts after this depending on numbers)

Wednesday 8:00 tryout 3 exibition game vs Pownal

Team to be picked by Thursday 10:00pm

PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMITING TO THE TEAM.

Here are some things to consider and think about before commiting to playing Midget AA both time wise and money wise.

Last year it was roughly $500 to play on this team which covers 4 tournaments ,rep fees and all other expenses. The games are longer so it cost more for refs and time keepers so that makes for higher rep fees.

We will try for 4 tournaments plus the provincials March 20-22 . (yes march break) This means one tournament every month with one of them being an away tournament.

Our practice time is Monday's 8:40 APM attendence is a must (1 hour)

Our home game's are Thursday 8:00 APM (hour and half)

Probable one away game a week sometimes two

We will Try to have a schedule in place and fallow it as I know many of the boys work and have other stuff to do but expect them to be commited to the team.

When picking this team we are lucky to have lost of good players and goalies so we know the job is not going to be a easy one. We are going to try to pick the best team we can and  will not just be picking on skill but on work ethic, attitude on and off the ice, coachabilty,and RESPECT.... This includes respect for coachs, team mates, refs, parents and fans, facilities they use and just the game itself. Hockey is a great game and it should be considered a privlage to play it. One other thing when picking this team for everyone to be aware of. There are 5 or 6 players who have played both forward and defence over the past 2 or 3 years at the A leval and are being considered for both positions. We as coachs have the right to put them where we feel they best suit when selecting the team if they get a spot.

When coaching this team after the selection process is over. We will not always roll the 3 lines we will coach situational hockey. We will have a power play, pentally kill, offensive faceoffs, defensive faceoffs, last seconds of periods, and last 5 minutes of games. We only have 3 lines and the games are 1.5 hours long so everyone will get ice time. This is a picked team and there will be a set of rules for everyone to fallow and if not fallowed we as coachs will have the right to disapline players by sitting them on the bench or out of games. This all comes back to RESPECT. This is going to be a team that is well behaved on and off the ice and able to go to different communities around the Island and be welcomed. I feel I am the face of this team and take this responsability seriously.

Remember there is body contact throughout all the tryouts.
