FLAMES FINISH WITH A FLURRY
After the last three games of the regular season against three tough opponents, the Flames took 5 out of a possible 6 points to finish the season witha 15-8-5 record, good for 3rd in a very competitive Eastern Division and 3rd overall.
Practices on Wednesday morning and Thursday at 7PM in Crapaud.

We played a good game in a big win over Montague last weekend, and have more important games coming up as we look to finish the season strong heading in to Provincials. Lets keep up the hard work and team play.

Moncton Tournament
The team has been playing very well since the middle of December, and things are looking good heading into the last part of the season. The team finished the Moncton tournament with a win, a loss and a tie in three very close and exciting games. Everyone put in a strong effort on the ice and a good time was had by all ( players, coaches and partents) away from the rink as well. We have a busy couple of weeks coming up leading into the Summerside tournament. So lets everybody keep working hard and having fun.

Christmas Potluck
We will be having a potluck upstairs at the APM following our practice on Sunday December 22nd.

Big win in Sherwood
We had a huge scoring outburst today in a much needed win over Sherwood, winning 9-2. It was a very nice game to watch as there were many nice passing plays and hard work in the corners and in our defensive zone. Lets keep this level of play and hard work moving forward as we are tough team to play against when we play this way. See everyone on Sunday.

Loss in Summerside
We had a tough road loss in Summerside on Friday. By all accounts the game was closer than the score, and we could have made a game of it with some bounces in our favour and less time in he penalty box. We'll get them next time, if we work as a team and play a smart game like we can.

Rough game in Tignish
After are tight first period which ended in a 0-0 tie the game opened up in the second with Tignish scoring 4 goals. We had a strong third period scoring three of our own with Tignish scoring two with one in an empty net for a 6-3 final loss. It was a rough game with lots of penalties on both sides of the puck.
We held our own as we can against anybody in the league, so lets rest up and get geared up for the tournament next weekend.

Tie Vs. Montague
In another hard fought defensive game, we held on to tie Montague who pushed hard in the third period. We again had some great goaltending and great defensive work in our own zone and in the corners. We scored our goal on some nice work behind the net resulting in a pretty wraparound. Keep up the hard work everybody as we have another tough game coming up on Friday in Tignish.

Big win vs Pownal
Third time's a charm!
After two close defeats at the hands of the Red Devils the Flames came with another strong effort and exacted some revenge with a 2 - 0 win. We had some great goaltending and strong defensive play. Two timely third period goals, both the result of nice passing plays were all the Flames needed.
The Flames face two more tough opponents on the road this week, Montague on Wednesday and Tignish on Friday. Keep up the good work Flames.
Just an update on Connor who left the game in the first period with an injury. Looks like bruised ribs. Hang in there Connor.

Game Vs Charlottetown
Sunday's game was another well played game for the team, in a 5-1 win over Charlottetown. It was a strong game in all zones, with the team having many quality scoring chances. We once again played good team defence in limiting Charlottetown's chances and had timely goaltending when they did. We played very well on the penalty kill even scoring when shorthanded ( which probably meant we took too many penalties ). We led 1-0 after the first, led 2-1 after the second and put it away in the third scoring 3 goals to take the 5-1 victory. Good job everybody, lets keep it going into the weekend!

Game Vs Summerside
The team had its second straight win in a win over Summerside on Saturday afternoon. Everyone played a nice team game and it seems to be coming together for us, lets keep it going. We had some timely scoring with it being 2-0 after 1, 4-0 after the second and a 5-0 final score. Keep up the hard work everyone and lets keep it going against Charlottetown on Sunday.
