Our North River Bruins ended our year with a win over the Pownal Snipers in the North River Year End Tournament  Championship Game!

The team play so well!  Winning in a Shoot Out 6-5!!!!!

We our so proud of everyone of our Bruins!  The played Hard, They gave their All and Never Gave Up!

Thanks to all our Fans that came out and cheered us on!  We really heard you and it gave our team the lift we needed to pull out our first Championship game win!

April 3(Thursday):  Bruins vs. Flyers 5:10pm at the APM Center

April 4(Friday): Bruins vs. Pownal Snipers 11:30am at the APM Center

April 5(Saturday): Bruins vs. Morell/Georgetown 1:50pm at the APM Center

Semi Finals will be on Sunday April 6th at 8:00AM

Championship Game will be on Sunday April 6th at 11:30AM.

It has been a wonderful season for the Bruins, let finish the year off with alot of fun!

2014 Spring Hockey Camp  

The JR.Panthers Spring Hockey Camp is the ultimate hockey experience.  High end, skills -based practices will be conducted by Panther coaching staff and players.  Each ice session will focus on player skill development through experienced, professional coaching. These Spring Hockey Session are intended for players to have fun, improve skills, and learn the value of competition.
         
INITIATION -NOVICE - ATOM - PEE WEE

April 7th, 2014 until May 15, 2014

Location: Cornwall APM Centre

Age groups
Initiation – 12 hours of ice time (2 hours per week) (300$ )*
(04,05,06) – 18 hours of ice time and off Island tournament in St.Fx (650$ )*
(01,02,03) – 18 hours of ice time with on Island Tournament Series (650$)*

Limited spaces, *cost includes HST and includes jersey and socks .
This program will be a sellout and is limited to a first-come, first-serve basis. Rosters for teams will be kept small to insure increased ice time.

Pownal Rodd's Novice A Hockey Tournment

The North River Bruins had a very successful weekend in the Rodd's Novice A Hockey Tournment!

The Bruins made the semi finals of the tournment! (With 18 teams in the tournament)

The Bruins had FUN!  and WORKED HARD!

So to all our Bruins!  Robbie, Ellen, your Parents and I are all so proud of YOU! and the way you played!

Tomorrow's practice in Crapaud has been cancelled!  Happy New Years!

The Bruins, will be playing a game versus Summerside as a make up game we missed last Sunday due to the storm.

The game is at the Credit Union Place on the Main Rink at 2:30 tomorrow.

The Novice "A"  Bruins had a wonderful tournament in Summerside, the team played very well and made the Semi Finals!  But unfortunately due to weather we were not able to travel to play the Semi Final game.

The Tournment Organizer Doug Dexter is going to send us a schedule of times on December 28th or the following weekend to make up the semi final game we missed!  As well do some presentation of medals to our team! 

I will let everyone know of this make up game as soon as I hear from Doug.

The tournment consists of 3 round robin games, and potentially a Semi Final and Championship game.

At the NRMHA Coaches/Managers meeting on Tuesday night I was informed that Hockey PEI requires the following be completed: (Was mentioned the course takes approx 1 hour to complete)

 *NEW* All Tykes and Novice teams:  At least 1 parent / player must complete the "Respect in Sport Parent" online course. If you are coaching the other parent must take the course. https://hpeiparent.respectgroupinc.com/secure/

If you have more then one child registered in hockey you simiple enter all players name and that will be recorded to Hockey PEI.  NRMHA will be notified if courses are not completed by a parent of a registered player.

 You are asked to complete this online course before the end December 2013 or sooner.

Parents Meeting!

We have scheduled a parents meeting on Monday November 18th after our game with the Flyers.

We have the room booked upstairs in the APM (the Classroom) It is the room over looking the ice.

The meeting room is booked for 6:30pm but if we can start earlier we will.

We will discuss a variety of different topics such as Ice times, Tournments, Fundraising and something new this year a manditory course for all parents who have children in Tykes & Novice.
