Our year end mother daughter game is April 1 at 5:10 APM centre! This is bound to be entertaining...and will wrap up back at the NR fire hall with a banquet. Everyone is reminded to return their jerseys at the hall, and bring a toonie to put toward pizza! Thanks for an excellent season!

The team worked very hard tonight and is thankful to all of the NR female players that came out to support them to WIN the Wildcard game in OVERTIME 4-3!! Special mention goes out to Jessica Gallant on scoring the winning goal at 5:35 into overtime! Now...onto the playoffs!!! Great game!

Special thanks to the Dean & Angela Smith, Donalda Larsen and everyone else who pitched in through bringing treats, helping organize games, serve food, etc as we had the very best tournament-end party with special guests, the Acadia Atom girls and their families! It was amazing for the girls to be able to reunite one year after they first met in Wolfville last spring! A great time was had by all...and Dean outdid himself wrapping up with the fire truck tours! Thank you all for helping to create very special memories for all of the girls.

What a great game played against Rustico tonight . The girls worked very hard and won 8-3; with 4 goals going to Makayla Larsen, 2 goals to Rebecca Smith, 1 goal for Tait Tierney, and 1 (her first hockey goal ) for Alyssa MacLean. Assists went to Morgan Cormier, Lisa Stevenson, Tait Tierney, and Kennedy Laflamme. Jessica Gallant, Hannah Sentner and Maura Barna played a strong defensive game, and Danielle put couple of goalie camp moves into action with her saves! Abby Clow also did an outstanding job keeping the puck in the Rustico end! Well done all!

Kelley Laflamme & Patty Sentner outdid themselves in organizing the best Christmas hockey party of all times. The girls had great fun Christmas-snacking after their game on Dec 11, decorating gingerbread men, and receiving girls hockey gifts from the jolly old man (Santa) himself. Maurice unveiled the new atom girls banner. Tracey & Jessica Gallant presented every player on the team with a beautifully made jersey cookie. Thanks to all of you! What a great lead-in to Christmas! Great girls! Great coaches! Great parents!

Quite a lot of excitement at the rink tonight as the girls favourite teacher came out to cheer them on! Thanks to Brenda MacNeil for raising the excitement level on the team!

We are fortunate to have Craig Jenkins providing a stickhandling session to the team this coming Sunday. He will be doing an off-ice session from 4-5 followed by on-ice from 5:30-6:30. Light snacks will be provided to the girls. In order to get the most benefit from the session, it is important for players to be there from 4-6:30.

The photo will be taken outside the APM centre at 4:35 Friday November 27....all players are asked to be there on time, I will have the jerseys back by then so each girl can pop theirs on over their jackets. If anyone needs a carpool, let us know! Thanks

We are losing our practice on Sunday Nov 29 due to a game conflict. As a result we will be having an off-ice practice from 5-6 in the gym at the APM centre on Thurs Nov 26 from 5-6,. Players are to bring sneakers, comfy exercise clothing and a water bottle (and a floor hockey stick if they have one). They will be going up to the Sports Office upstairs from 6-7 to complete the Dodge banner and to have pizza/drinks. Thanks

What an intense game of hockey today! It was a total team effort against Northumberland. 'Skittles' Sentner, 'Squirt' Clow, Rebecca Smith and Tait Tierney consistently came off the bench with incredible energy after every break! The entire team worked together defensively and 'Dominator' Danielle blocked 43 agressive shots on net! Well played everyone!

Congratulations to Maura on scoring the first goal of her hockey career (unassisted)! She was presented with the game puck after the game.

What an exciting first game of the season! The team worked really hard and played well together achieving their first win 4-3 over Morell. Congratulations to Makayla on scoring the first goal of the season, as well as the first hat-trick of the season! Sydney also scored a goal and Tait, Rebecca, Emily and Alyssa assisted. Rebecca, Tait, Hannah and Jessica did an outstanding defensive job; while Lisa, Emily, Sydney, Makayla, Kennedy, Alyssa, Maura and Abby kept the puck directed at Morell's net. Danielle's debut in nets included a couple of very dramatic saves. Well done everyone!
