Below is our schedule for the Peewee Provincial Championship weekend. All games are at the rink in Belfast.which is 30 minutes east of Charlottetown on the Trans Canada, then when you get to the Cooper's
Shell Station, turn left and go about 1 km, the rink is on your right. A Google map is here.

Congrats Flames on a great round robin and playoffs in Alberton
Congrats Flames on a great round robin at the Alberton tournament in Alberton. The Flames finished the round robin portion with a perfect 3 - 0 record with a goal differential of + 12, one of four teams that finished 3 - 0 and a 4 way tie for first. The tie breakers came down to goal differential and when the calculations were done, the Flames finished 3rd out of 11 teams, There was only 2 goals between the 1st and 3rd place teams. Westville finished first with a +14 goal differential and Chebucto finished second also +14.
Six teams moved onto the playoffs with the two teams that finished first and second getting a bye to the semi-finals in the afternoon. The Flames played Sunday morning in the quarter finals and beat the Tyne Valley Tornadoes (6th seed) to move on and play the second place seed in the afternoon. Way to go boys..... Go TEAM !!!
In the afternoon the Flames met the second placed seed, Chebucto, in the semi-final game. It was a fun, fast paced game with lots of hitting, passing, and scoring chances for both sides. Chebucto thought they were going to walk their way into the championship game but they didn't realize who they were playing. The Flames gave Chebucto a game and going late into the third period, Chebucto had a 2 -1 lead. Chebucto scored with about 2 minutes left to make it 3 -1 but the Flames did not stop and kept coming at Chebucto till the final whistle.
Another great tournament weekend boys. Hold your heads up high, you came to play all weekend and did not disappoint. Your parents and coaches are proud of how you played and worked together all weekend. It was a fun weekend with great hockey, great job boys..............

2009 George Trainor Champions !!!
What a frenzied two days. The Flames played 5 games over 2 days, out scored the opposition 27-6 to emerge undefeated (5-0), and the 2009 George Trainor Peewee A Tournament Champions.
The boys played 5 amazing games over the last 2 days. They opposition was unable to control the Flames's speed and skill on the ice. If the opposition wanted to play the "physical game", the Flames were well up to that challenge as well. The Flames played as a team and worked together. There was great passing, hustling, hard work, and determination from all the boys.
Congratulations guys on your success this weekend. Your parents and coaches are proud of how you played all weekend and worked together as a team. Congratulations Flames... !!!!
