Masks No longer mandatory at Hockey PEI Sanctioned Events
Department: Safety & Risk Management
Date: May 6th, 2022

As per the Chief Public Health Office of PEI, today, May 6th will mark the end to the mandate to wear masks in indoor public places. Therefore, masks are no longer required to be wore by members or the public at Hockey PEI sanctioned events.

Masks are still strongly recommended in indoor public places after this date. Masks will still be required in certain high-risk settings, including hospitals, long term, and community care homes, on public transit, early learning and childcare and for students and staff in K-12 when they are on buses and when not seated in class.

Wearing a mask in the community is a measure to protect you and those around you, even if you don't have symptoms.
