What is “AA” Hockey? 

In minor hockey we select a rep team to play in a league with teams from other associations.  This is the highest level of hockey played in NRMHA as we are zoned for AAA with Rustico, Kensington, and Southside Minor Hockey Associations.  We have tryouts for this team to evaluate players and select the team.  Money collected from tryouts stays with the AA team for their team budget.  The coaches for the “AA” operate the tryouts and conditioning camps for the association.

Cost of Conditioning camps:

$10 / individual session (for those that did not attend last week's ice-time)

Notice to Parents Attending Condtioning Camps

Why do we have conditioning camps and pay extra for them?  Conditioning Camps are designed to give players the opportunity to get on the ice and get used to practicing prior to the start of Tryouts and Minor Hockey.  This is extra ice-time that is not included as part of your minor hockey registration.   There is no need to pre-register for these camps but please attend your designated time. 

Where does the money from Conditioning Camps go?   As the people running the camp we are never sure how many are going to attend so a rate is charged to make sure costs of ice rental are covered.  After cost of Ice Rental is covered the money left over is put back towards Minor Hockey Revenue, which would contribute to the overall running of minor hockey. 

This year, the NRMHA is holding interviews for all head coach positions for its teams, with the exception of the Tykes, the Novice A boys and the Atom A boys teams. 

All applicants are being interviewed, regardless of whether or not they have coached before in the NRMHA system or whether or not they are the only applicant for a particular position. This process is part of the Association's on-going due diligence in ensuring that the selection of head coaches meets the needs of the Association and its teams.

To date, interviews and selections have been completed for head coaches for the AA boys and A girls teams. The results of this process are now posted on the website. Over the next while, we will be proceeding with interviews for head coaches for the Peewee, Bantam and Midget A boys teams. The Association will soon be in contact with all those who have applied for a head coach position.

Please note that additional coaches are needed for all A boys teams. Interested individuals should submit an application to Trevor Lank (2013nrmha@gmail.com), Association President, as soon as possible.
