1st year teams!
Hello all!
Teams have been made and I have the jerseys and socks for Saturday’s ice time! If you can make note of which team your child is on (teams are named by Head Coach as this is how they appear on our website), then you will know which dressing room to head to each practice. Each team will have their own dressing room and jerseys will be in the room when you arrive. Have a look on the white board and that will tell you which room to go to. I will also be in the lobby with a list of the teams if you need help figuring out where to go.

I am also in the process of booking hockey pictures for the group, so stay tuned for that date. It will likely be a Saturday ice time in November. I will follow up with the date once I hear from The Picture Guy.

Important information
Here’s how the schedule looks for the U7 Group. Our ice times will be every Saturday and Wednesday. Our season will start Saturday October 21, 2023 and will go until March 2024.
Saturdays at APM Centre (Every Saturday is the same.)
The 1st years are at 9:10 - 10:10 am.
Wednesdays at APM Centre (Ice times alternate each week.)
October 25, 2023: 1st years at 4:00 pm
November 1, 2023: 1st years at 5:00 pm
November 8, 2023: 1st years at 4:00 pm
November 15, 2023: 1st years at 5:00 pm
*The teams will keep alternating times each week for the rest of the season.
The U7 Group also has an additional ice time on Sunday afternoons at the rink in Crapaud (South Shore Actiplex). This will be for the 2nd year players only until the end of this year (December 2023), and then in the new year (January 2024) we open it up to both the 1st and 2nd year groups. I will share more information about this ice time once I know the exact date we will start, but it is usually the first weekend in November.
For the new members to our association, every household must complete the “Respect in Sport Parent Program”. This must be completed by the end of November and it is different from the “Respect in Sport Program” for coaches. Here is the website for the “Respect in Sport Parent Program”:

The deadline is October 15th, 2023 - you will receive more information once everyone has had a chance to submit their interest. You will be required to complete the “Respect in Sport Program” for coaches and will also have to complete a criminal record check.
If your child needs a jersey for the start of the season please let me know and I will get you one to use for the first couple of ice times. Teams will be made after the first few ice times and jerseys and socks will be given out once teams are formed.

U7 Conditioning Session
We will be holding a conditioning skate and drills session open for all of our U7 players before the regular season gets started. This is for both male and female players.
The session will be held at the APM Centre on Saturday, October 14th from 8-9am.
Fee will be $10/player.
The maximum number will be 35 skaters.
Deadline to register is October 10th, 2023.
Due to numbers- if a parent is looking to go on the ice to volunteer, please let me know by email at stephmkeith@gmail.com

Welcome to the 2023-2024 hockey season!
