The North River Minor Hockey Association is pleased to announce that former NHL Coach, Mike Kelly, will be launching the Coach4Food program Saturday November 8, 2008. This program was developed by goaltending coach, Tom Hedican, from North Bay Ontario. The program provides Minor Hockey Kids and Coaches with exposure to professional coaching during a fun on-ice session. In return the players make a donation to local food banks. Last year Hedican’s program raised nearly 22,000 lbs of food for local food banks. The Lightning will be participating in the Coach4FOOD program at 9:20am Saturday Nov 8. Please remember to bring 3 non-perishable food items to the rink.
