2025 2026 Hockey Season
Welcome back to the 2025 2026 Hockey season for U18 A . I am back for another year along with the same staff as Last year. We are all looking forward to another year coaching a great group of young men. We are off to an earlier start this year so not sure how this will translate into league play start time, but the team will be picked by the 29th of September. Picking the team is one of the least favorite jobs us coaches have to do. I do know many of the kids and parents from last years try outs, from my son Taylor coaching the U15AA team and just from around the rink and community. It is a very quick process and a little stressfull. We as coaches hope everyone will respect out final decesion in picking the best TEAM. A team consits of not only skilled players but roll players, hard workers and young men with good attitudes. We wish everyone a great try out and a great season where ever we all may end up. We always have injuries and players missing so there is plenty of opportunity for players that dont make the team to AP with us and play some games and attend practices.
Here are a few things to consider when trying out for this team. As coaches we expect players to be dedicated to the team attending every practice (Mondays 8:40 APM ) Home Games (Thursdays 7:30 APM) most likley one away game every week and all tournaments. We know the boys have busy lives and more then hockey on thier minds. Some work, other sports, girl friends and a social life. We try to make a schedule and stick to it the best we can. We are planning to go in two off Island tournaments. One will be October 24th weekend to Amherst N.S and the other in Febuary to Dieppe. So we will be getting off to an early start trying to get the team of parents and players to Gel. We will also be going in at least 2 on Island tournaments and maybe 3. So we are expecting team fees to be around $800.00 per player. So we may have to do some sort of fund raiser. Just want everyone to know what they are signing up for ahead of time. We are looking forward to getting another season started and seeing new and old faces at the rink. If anyone has any questions that the coordinator can't answer don't be afraid to ask Myself or Scott Ellsworth who is the manager. All info for tryouts is on the coordinators page for now and then will switch to this page as tryouts start .
All the best on behalf of all the Coaches
