Friday, February 26^th – Exhibition Game v. Gulf Store at 4:30pm at Crapaud Rink (this is a PD day for students – if anyone needs a drive, please let me know)

Saturday, February 27^th – Practice at 11:30am at Crapaud Rink

Sunday, February 28^th – Game v. Summerside at 7:10pm at APM

The team pictures should be here sometime next week.  I’ll hand them out once they arrive.

This information update is from NRMHA:

Hi Everyone,

With today's announcement (December 6, 2020) with Health PEI, we have decided to suspend the collection of the NRMHA Fundraising Draw and suspend the draw until further notice.

We hope to return to Hockey after a short period, but will advise the new draw date when we do.

3:30PM November 27th - Exhibition Game @ Eastlink Centre v. Central Attack.   

• Players can only enter 15 minutes before the game (I know, this is tight so perhaps arrive mostly dressed)
• Players can only access the rink through the blue doors which are located to the right of the main entrance (where the ticket booth is located).
• Parents can enter 5 minutes before through the green doors (which I presume is located near the blue doors).

The NRMHA calendar has been updated with the following additional practise times all of which are in Crapaud but note the different times

 November 21^st in Crapaud @ 10:20am – 11:20am

December 5^th in Crapaud @ 10:20am – 11:20am

December 12^th in Crapaud @ 10:20am – 11:20am

January 2^nd in Crapaud @ 11:30am – 12:30pm   

I purposefully haven’t booked anything later than this as we have to swap some game times in December due to away game conflicts.

Crapaud South Shore Arena on Saturday, November 21, 2020 @ 10:20am - 11:20am

Players can enter the rink 30 minutes before ice time, masked.  Cohort of 50 people allowed as spectators.

Jackets and Masks have been ordered today!

Thanks everyone for getting back to me and paying the funds!

Good morning!

The black Bauer jackets won the voting.  We will be ordering the jackets and masks from Source for Sports.  The cost for the jacket is $125 + tax and the mask is $9 + tax.   The jacket will be embroidered with the NRMHA logo on the left chest area with the players name on the sleeve.  The masks will have the logo screenprinted.

 The total cost per player inclusive of taxes is $152.76.  In order for the jackets to arrive by December 14^th, we will require full payment via etransfer by Wednesday, November 18^th.  We will place the order only when all payments are received.

My request is two-fold:

1. Please e-transfer funds for jackets and masks by November 18^th to christina.frizzell10@gmail.com (this is the email for our team bank account);
2. Email me with the jacket size you want.  If you would like to try them on, you can do so at Source for Sports beforehand.

The lead time for orders is approximately 3-4 weeks.  I’d like us to make a decision on jackets and masks this week and for money to be submitted this week.  We’ll decide as a group which one to order so that they all match.

1. Music Person for Games?

If anyone knows of anyone that can do the music for tomorrow night’s and future games, please give me their name and contact number.  Thanks.

1. Budget

Rep Team fees are estimated to be $4,200 - $4,800.  As I understand it, this covers the extra 30 minutes of ice time for our games and for us having full ice for our practices as we don’t share the ice with another team.  I’ve asked Hockey PEI for clarity on costs.  Tournaments as I understand are an additional cost.    We have a bank account set up at TD Bank and Christina Frizzell and I have dual cheque signing authority.  The account name is North River Flames U15 AA 2020.  If you have sponsors that want to write a cheque it can be made payable to that name.  For e-transfers, the email address is christina.frizzell10@gmail.com and the password is hockey2020  .

50/50  Steven and Cynthia will organize 50/50 but at this time, we unsure if we can do this due to COVID.  This is still being worked out.

Our request at this time is that people send an e-transfer of $100 each at this time to cover a portion of the rep fees and to fund initial costs.  The jackets and masks are not part of this initial request.

We will provide a full accounting of the finances at the end of the season.
