We will be purchasing red Reebok hockey socks cost will be $25-$30 for a pair.

Also we will be purchasing team face masks with North River logo, this is optional. The cost for the mask will be $17.

Practice

It was great to see the team on the ice today for the exhibition game.  The kids played well and put in a great effort.  This is a reminder that our practice time for this week only is changed to Tuesday morning at 6am at the APM.  Please email me at baron_delaney@hotmail.com or call me at 902-393-5640 if you can't make it.  

Manager Wanted

At this point I still haven't had anyone offer to take on the Manager position for the team.  I realize this position can be demanding, however, if you have an interest in it please contact me to discuss.  I've been a part of other teams that have had a 2 Manager system to share the responsibility of the position.  I would also like to see as much participation from parents as possible, so all the roles involved can be delegated to ease the burden of one person doing the job.  I'd like to have this settled no later than Wednesday of this week, as the association is requesting it.

Team Meeting

As soon as we have a Manager in place I would to arrange a parents meeting to discuss coaching phylosophy, plans for the season, team apparel, etc.

We want to congratulate the following players on making the North River U9 AA team.  Everyone worked very hard and made our final decision very difficult.  We would like to wish all the best to the players that tried out for this team.

We are in need of a Manager.  If you would like to put your name forward or have questions about being the Manager, please email Baron at baron_delaney@hotmail.com by Sunday, October 25.

Our next two ice times are as follows:

• Exhibition Game vs. Gulf Storm - Sunday, October 25, 2:30 at APM
• Practice - Wednesday, October 28, 6am at APM.

Prior to Sunday's ice time please take the time to review the new operational plan for APM.  This information has been emailed to you by the Novice Coordinator.  You can also find additional information about this at www.apmcentre.com and www.northriverflams.ca. 

To ensure that we follow the new rules of the APM operational plan, which has a limit of 50 specatators per team, we ask that a maximum of 2 spectators per player attend games.  Please adhere to this until further notice as this will ensure each player will be able to have a family member attend.

To note - Players and Coaches are required to be in the rink between 30 and 15 min prior to game time.
