Bowling will begin at 1:30 PM sharp and will continue until 2:45 PM. The team will then go upstairs to a large room for pizza (Pizza Delight) and pop. The team will supply an option for the non‑pop drinkers.
Following the eating, (3:00PM) the team recognitions and thank‑you's will be carried out and parents are more then welcome to be there for pictures and their own thank‑you's. We should be all wrapped up between 3:15 and 3:30 PM.

Team event - Friday - Panther game and shootout

Friday Jan 27th the entire team will be taking part in a Mini Shootout during the first intermission of the UPEI Panther Game. Game time is 7 PM and UPEI & Dal will take to the ice at 6:20 PM for warmup. All Matrix players are to meet outside the Andrews Hockey Office at 6:00 PM so that the parents can fill out Varsity passes for all players and the players can take their gear down to the assigned dressing room. During the game players will be sitting in the Wards World Section (16 or 18) and Johnathon Doiron will let us know which section for sure on Friday. After the first period the Matrix team will take part in a Mini shootout between the team members (half green and half white). Therefore, it is important that everyone is ready to go on the ice 2 minutes before the end of the first period. A party pizza will be supplied by Dominos, and the pizza will be in the dressing room following the mini-shootout after the players leave the ice. If anyone wants to stick around after the game they can go down to the Panther dressing room area and meet the team and get autographs.

Saint John Tournament - Room booking now available
The block of rooms have been setup and are now ready for people to call and reserve their rooms for the Port Hilton Tournament in Saint John the weekend of January 13th - 15th. We have 18 rooms blocked off with 2 double/queen beds. We did look into larger rooms for larger familes but the rate increase was quite significant at $300.00 per night. They do have cots available and the double rooms are suppose to be quite big.
Please call and reserve your rooms ASAP as any rooms not reserved by *** December 30th *** will be released back to the hotel. Below is the info. When you call they will need the group code.

We are getting the team pictures done this Saturday morning, Dec 3rd in Rustico at practice so we want all the kids to be there with their jerseys. Sharon Weeks will be handing out the forms from sandpiper studios on Tuesday night so you can look at the packages. Remember everyone is purchasing a team picture as a minimum, and then whatever other number and style of pictures you want. The forms and money have to be brought on Saturday morning, and this cost will be paid by the individual players.

Sherwood Early Bird Champions
Congratulations TEAM !!! on being the 2011 Grant Thorton Sherwood Parkdale Early Bird Champions. It was a great weekend and the team played great all weekend. The team played in a division with 12 teams and only the top 4 moved on. The team ended the round robin with a 2-1 record and finished 4th. In the crossovers the team beat the Summerside Capitals 3-2 in a shootout to advance to the championship. In the championship the team played another great game and beat the Pownal Red Devils 3-1 to take the banner home. Great weekend team and congrats.
