API Hockey Pros OHL Best Of Both Worlds CHL Network CHL on Rogers Sportsnet ADT Canada Russia Challenge Home Hardware Top Prospects MasterCard Memorial Cup Teams Barrie Colts Belleville Bulls Brampton Battalion Erie Otters Guelph Storm Kingston Frontenacs Kitchener Rangers London Knights Mississauga IceDogs Oshawa Generals Ottawa 67s Owen Sound Attack Peterborough Petes Plymouth Whalers Saginaw Spirit Sarnia Sting Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds Sudbury Wolves St Michaels Majors Windsor Spitfires Development Environment Education Home Academic Policy OHL Scholarship Academic Advisors OHL Academic Awards Academic Policy The Ontario Hockey League values and respects the commitments made by both players and families to the League and their teams It is the intent of the Ontario Hockey League to support the student athletes with the very best learning environment In this way it is hoped that every athlete may achieve his personal educational goals To accomplish this the League has adopted the following League Expectations that each team will have an Educational Consultant(s) to support the academic expectations outlined in its Education Policy that the Ontario Hockey League will convene seminars on a regular basis to inform parents of the opportunities available in the League that the Ontario Hockey League will convene meetings of the Education Consultants to plan and implement the education initiatives of the League and each team that the Ontario Hockey League will provide educational support material for all teams players and families eg Marking Your Mark in the OHL Best of Both Worlds OHL Education Manual Team Expectations that all teams will incur all educational costs of players including tuition room books and board while playing for their OHL team that an Education Consultant will be available for all players and families that all educational needs will be addressed promptly and strategies developed to ensure academic success for all players that computer access will be provided for all players that practice time will be scheduled around regular school days and hours that all players be offered the opportunity to complete their academic program in the locale of the team when the season finishes that regular communication occurs between the Education Consultant and Team Management Player Expectations that all players adhere to their respective teams Education Policy that all players be expected to attend high school until graduation that all players enrolled in educational programs are expected to participate fully in all classes and strive to maintain a passing grade that all players be encouraged to pursue postsecondary pathways Education Consultant Expectations to liaise with playersschoolsteam and parents to communicate with Team Management to support the teams Education Policy to facilitate the registration process with players at high sc...
