PEI Rocket Blog Quebec Roadie By Matthew HobbsMarch 2nd 2010 Our last regular season Quebec road trip of the year and with playoffs just around the corner all the boys knew that these are 3 important games So as famous Samson Mahbod would say NOBODY SLEEPS (team joke) and also Bonneau had 3 rules on the trip that I forget but Im sure he will tell you himselfBefore I get down to business I have to point out that in Drummondville they have the best spaghetti barrestaurant I have ever gone to Because of this Wright wants to open one in Charlottetown and I know he will make a killer at it if he calls it The Wright PastaGame 1 DrummondvilleComing into this game we knew we are facing one of the best goalies in the league 1st period we didnt come out like we wanted and they scored on us about 3 mins in Its a heart breaker when that happens but we kept our heads high and Stinziani scored assisted by our shootout King Cody Linteau 2nd period now we wanted to come out hitting and play solid D and we did just that giving up no goals If we win the 3rd we win the game and we wanted to keep shooting on net and get bodies in front But Allen got the better of us The road trip has only begun and we can still bounce backGame 2 ChicoutimiOff to Chicoutimi with a big ice surface and the game plan to use the ice to our advantage 1st period we take a penalty right off the start and they capitalize on the chance Bad luck for us but the guy who took the penalty who is our 4th forward when he is on the ice yes Im talking about Adam Polasek Well he redeemed himself when he rushed up the ice with his 3 buddies and sniped one home We are back in it Now Im not one to brag about anything but I got the next goal to put us ahead! 2nd period we have the lead nowlets not let it slip away we kept our composure when we needed to resulting no goals against 3rd period about 5 minutes in they get one making it an even game We get one right back for the lead but they soon answer with an unlucky bounce off a skate OT lots of North and South hockey and they take a penalty nows our chance Shot after shot after shot just seems like its not meant to be On to the shootoutthe first shooterand game winning shooterthe boy who fears no noise Cody Linteau Rocket win in OTGame 3 BaieComeauGuys are getting fatigued but thats no excuse 1st period they get 2 on us and we didnt know what to think 2nd period they get another and as one man would say its time to play some desperate hockey Duffy gets one and were in the game 31 they take a penalty and I get a one timer from Bonneau and I aim for Polaseks pad in front of the net so he can have his 12th of the season (just so everyone is clear me and Poly joke around with each other all the time so Im saying this in a joking way because there is no way I can aim for his pads and hit it) 32 Southy gets a chance and ties it all up 33g...
