1998 Plymouth Stingrays Hockey Club PeeWee A 1998 Plymouth Stingrays Hockey Club PeeWee A 98 Plymouth Stingrays Robert Reilly PCHA PO Box 701194 Plymouth Michigan 48170 Logged in as edit profile message center Home Calendar Team Roster Games Standings Practices Ice Arenas Team News Hockey Links Sponsors Guestbook Team Messages Stingrays go 111 in Newmarket The Minor PeeWee AA International Silver Stick Tournament hosted a great hockey tournament for all of the teams the weekend of January 1417 2010 The 98 Plymouth Stingrays had the chance to compete with 3 of the best teams from Canada and they held their own in every game The Stingrays had a tough first day of the tournament as they had to play both the Mississauga Jets and Barrie Colts both of which are ranked 1 and 2 in Canada The Rays started out flat in game one giving up the first goal of the tournament Later in the game Plymouth got one back and tied the game up at 1 which ended up being the final score In game two Plymouth was able to score 3 goals in the third period to beat a very tough Barrie Colts team Plymouth was on the upswing going in to Saturday morning and needed a win or tie to advance to the semifinals On Saturday morning Plymouth faced off with a very skilled and talented West Ferris Blades team West Ferris never let up and Plymouth couldnt catch a break as the Blades took game 3 by the score of 20 In the end all four teams in the bracket (Plymouth Barrie Mississauga and West Ferris) were tied with three points The West Ferris Blades clinched the 1 seed and the Jets from Mississauga snatched the 2 seed both winning the third and fourth tiebreakers All four teams played a great tournament as it was very competitive evident in the standings The Coaches and Parents of the Plymouth Stingrays are extremely proud of the effort it took to get to this prestigious tournament as well as the effort that was shown on the ice Way to go Stingrays!
