Hockey Northwestern Ontario (HNO) COACHES Constitution Admin Manual Forms Logins Contacts December 2009SunMonTueWedThuFriSat 12345678910111213141516171819202122232425262728293031 COACHESCOACHESHNO works closely with Hockey Canada to provide coaches in this branch the opportunity to further develop their coaching skills through the following programsNational Coaching Certification Program (NCCP)NATIONAL COACHING CERTIFICATION PROGRAMThe National Coach Certification Program is considered the core coaching development opportunity for all coaches and is approved by the Coaching Association of CanadaGeneral PolicyThe minimum age of certification is 16 years oldCoach Stream (Coach Level) ClinicsEach coach will be required to complete a pretask assignment prior to attending the clinic The task is designed to prepare the coaches for the clinic and provide them with some insight on the expectations for the clinicThe clinic is designed to be delivered in approximately 9 hours covering four modules The clinic will no longer have an onice component The course will conclude with a take home posttask assignmentPreregistration with payment is required at least one week prior to the clinic Minimum numbers will applyCoaches will receive a skills manual appropriate to the age they are coaching as well as a supplementary work book and 4 part DVD set The following pages will help breakdown the renaming and curriculum of the programsThe 2006 2007 season will see Hockey Northwestern Ontario implementing a Hockey Canada pilot project by integrating the Speak Out program with several Coach Stream Clinics National University Cavendish CupHockey Canada selected 3 HNOOnIce Officials to be linesmenat this months National UniversityHockey Championship being heldin Thunder BayCongratulations to Nigel BlackTrevor Gordon and Kevin KuluskiHNO is proud to present thefollowing sponsorship to ourNovice teams!!!
